Bali Activities 101

The island of the Gods is very flexible and accommodating to one's interests and purpose of holiday. Be it communing with nature, surfing, a romantic honeymoon, fun family time, or simply delving into one's spirituality, Bali has a spot for you.

There are actually too many 'things to do' to list down so this is a tested pre-guide of what one may opt to do while on your Bali holiday. Tested meaning, we've done these and have been to the places mentioned. Which also means in the succeeding related articles, we will provide contact information and 'how tos' regarding a certain activity.

First, it all depends on what you want to do, your budget, and how long your holiday is, as some activities will need more than just a weekend to enjoy.

People that prefer the rice 'paddy' fields ambience, slower-paced and relaxed usually go up to Ubud, Amed, Lovina, Candidasa, and such.

For romance, most stay at resorts in the Nusa Dua complex and Benoa Harbour area then dining in picturesque Jimbaran Bay. Or just have a private evening stroll holding hands with your beloved at any of the beaches. Just make sure the tide is low to avoid accidents!

Prefer to ride some waves? This, the island is abundant from the west region all the way to the south. Just depends on the break you like and the season too.

Some adventure by their lonesome. With a partner or family? Try White Water Rafting, kayaking, trekking, snorkeling, or motorbiking across the island (okay, maybe not this when with family unless you're Indo!) More mellow? How about touring the various temples, visiting the zoo, or ride a horse or camel on the beach?

So, think about it and read on the activities of your choice.
